Please be aware that although the items here are in excellent condition for their age, they are vintage objects
and as such can show slight signs of wear. I have done my best to declare any flaws; where they exist
they are either minor or add to the patina and the joy of owning vintage!
'BLACK MAGIC' GIFT BOX
Paper-based vintage ephemera such as wallpaper, giftwrap and boxes are very hard to find as they deteriorate faster than textiles and furniture, so I was thrilled to come across this original Black Magic chocolate box from the 1960s (? It’s difficult to date so this is a conservative estimate). It was in pretty good condition: I have restored it and given top and base 3 coats of specialist varnish. I have also lined them with 1970s wallpaper which is an abstract pattern in shades of golden yellow. It is completed with 4 lavender bags with hanging loops. The bags are made from 1960s fabric in deep yellow, yellow ochre and tobacco brown on white and can be used to scent drawers & wardrobes & help keep moths at bay.
The lavender bags are wrapped in cellophane and tissue inside the box and sealed with a Secondary Modern vintage pattern sticker. The whole thing will be wrapped in tissue with an explanatory card, and can also be gift-wrapped on request at no extra charge.

ROYAL WEDDING GIFT TIN
I remember the 29th July 1981 very well: it was my brother’s birthday and very hot and we were all sunbathing in the garden while my mother kept trying to shoo us inside to watch the wedding on TV. This is a genuine souvenir tea caddy, minus the tea but plus 4 lavender bags made in 1970s floral cotton and filled with 100% Provencal lavender buds. They are great for scenting drawers and wardrobes and helping to keep moths at bay.
